Young Photographers Competition
Cambridge Camera Club (CCC) originally introduced this competition some years ago to encourage the children and grandchildren of its members into photography. After a few years the entry was extended to some of the Cambridge schools, and the competition ran in parallel with the club’s Annual Exhibition.
The Rotary Club also has a local competition for young photographers, which then leads winners into their District and National competition. There was a benefit to amalgamating with the Rotary Club so that winners had a chance to gain District and National awards (and, of course, more prizes).
A new theme is set each year, and it’s important that images reflect the given subject.
Judging
As with last year, the Rotary Club were able to utilise CCC's bespoke system in order to upload the images, and then to judge and score all the entries on a single day.
Judges included members of the Rotary Club (Cambridge), Cambridge Camera Club, and representatives from the sponsors: Cambridge Independent, Campkins and John Lewis & Partners.

Young Photographers of the Future
The Young Photographers Competition is announced in the Autumn of each year on the websites of Cambridge Camera Club and the Rotary Club (Cambridge).
Please encourage your children to pick up a camera (or a phone) to enjoy photography, get creative and enter the competition.
